Write it down, review it
How to check whether your readings held and carry that into the next one. Use notes, saved charts, and Connect AI (MCP), and make each New Moon, Full Moon, and birthday a review day.
Step 5 of the HOSHIDOU Path looks at the gap between what you wrote and what happened, and corrects your reading from there. This is where your accuracy with the stars improves.
Pick your review days
A reading you only write down never gets checked. Make days like these your review days.
- Full Moon day: write one line on how the small thing you chose at the New Moon went
- Lunar Return day: look over that month’s reading (the Lunar Return is a Hoshigatari feature)
- Birthday: look at the three parts of your year’s reading (theme, time window, sign to check) and check them
Record the result in one of three ways
For each reading, record the result as one of these. The app has no field for this, so start what you write with “It held”, “It missed”, or “It showed up in another form”.
- It held
- It missed
- It showed up in another form
A miss isn’t a failure. It’s a record of a misreading. Add which placement you read, and how you read it, and you have material for correcting the three sentences you wrote in Start with your Moon sign.
Keep it in the app
If a notebook is enough, a notebook is fine. What matters is that the date you wrote and the sign you chose to check are both there. If you want to keep it in the app, these are available. Hoshigatari and Hoshimichibiki features are free during the beta.
“Today’s reflection” on Home is a Hoshigatari feature. It keeps a dated line at a time.
Earlier entries are listed so you can look back.
The rest are Hoshimichibiki features.
- Chart notes: attach observations and readings to a planet or aspect on the chart. You can search them
- Saved charts: save the chart for that day. The app calls these “Snapshots”. You can open the chart from the day you saved it and look back at it later
- Connect AI (MCP): let Claude or ChatGPT read your notes and saved charts and help you look back
Turn it into your own rules
Keep reviewing and you’ll see which methods suit you. Examples: “On void days, reply to email the next day.” “In a month when the New Moon is in the 4th house, finish one thing around the home.” Write down the methods you settle on as your own rules.
When the way you plan your days has changed, Step 5 is running. At the end of the year, go back to Step 1 on your birthday and reread your three sentences.
