Sign up and add your own birth date
Three steps to create an account, confirm your email, and enter your own birth date. What to enter, how "Do this later" works, and what happens when the birth time is unknown.
Signing up takes three steps. Labels across the top of the screen show where you are: Account, Confirm email, and Your own birth date. You can start on the free plan.
1. Account
You cannot change your email address after you sign up, so check that it is the one you use every day.
Select Sign up in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, or use the birth date button on Home, to open the dialog. Then choose its Sign up tab.
You enter:
- Name
- Email address
- Password
- Agreement to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
If you already have an account, use the Sign in tab. You can sign in with Sign in with a passkey, a 6-digit email code through Get a code, or a password. Add a passkey later under Name & sign-in in Account.
2. Confirm email
A confirmation email goes to the address you entered. Press Verify email in it to finish confirming. For your safety, this signs you out and clears the password you chose at sign-up. To continue, sign in with the 6-digit code that arrives by email. You can set a password later under Account.
If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder and press Resend email on the screen.
3. Your own birth date
After you confirm, the screen “Tell us when you were born” opens. What you enter here is your own birth date. The wheel and the daily one-liner on Home are based on it. Family and friends can be added later in Managing Birth Details.
You enter four things:
- Name to show: Home uses it, as in “Alex’s sky”
- Date of birth
- Time of birth: choose Not sure if you don’t know it. It is often on a birth certificate
- Place of birth
Press Make my chart. The finishing screen shows the three points of the birth chart: how you come across, your core (Sun) and feelings (Moon). “How you come across” is read from the Ascendant (ASC), and it is the same as the card of that name on Home. Press Go to Home to continue.
If you don’t know the birth time
Not sure still lets you register. The chart is calculated for noon (12:00), so the Ascendant, the houses and the Moon’s degree are not reliable. The finishing screen says the Ascendant appears once the birth time is known. You can add the time later by editing the entry. See If the birth time is unknown for details.
Choosing “Do this later”
The Do this later link under the form skips this step. Until you enter your details, Home shows the date strip, shared sky and a preview of the personal reading. Your own wheel and the cards for where today touches your chart appear after you add your birth details. The button on Home that asks for your birth date brings you back here at any time.
If you already have a “Me” entry, or you reached the limit
If you already have an entry marked as yours, this screen is skipped and you go straight to Home. On the free plan, if you have reached the limit of five birth details entries, pick one under Birth Details in the sidebar and make it your own.
You can change what you entered at any time on the Birth Details screen.
