Asked before buying
- Can I get the book without knowing my birth time?
- Yes. With the time left blank, planet positions are calculated for noon (12:00) at the birth place, and the book reads the signs and aspects of the Sun, Moon and the other planets. The houses, the Ascendant and the MC are calculated from that same assumed noon. A position calculated for noon does sit away from the real one, though: the Moon moves about thirteen degrees a day, so it can be off by six or seven degrees, and if the Moon sat near a sign boundary on your birthday your Moon sign may come out as the next one over. The Ascendant, the MC and the houses are off by far more than that. All three move with the clock: the Ascendant passes through a whole sign in about two hours, and the houses come full circle in a day. So the sign we show for your Ascendant has about a one in twelve chance of being the real one, and which house each planet falls in rests on the same assumption. Wherever we have assumed, the book says so. If you can find the time, enter it before you build the book.
- Do I need an account first?
- Not to buy one. An email address and your birth details are enough. After payment an account is created for that email address, and you read the book from there.
- How soon can I read it?
- Writing starts right after payment and usually finishes within a few minutes. You can read it on screen or keep it as a PDF, and reopen it as often as you like. Access does not expire.
- Does a monthly plan include the reports?
- No. Each book is bought once and billed separately from the plans. A plan decides which chart features you get in the app; the books are not part of it.
- Can I get a refund if I do not like it?
- Because this is a digital product, we do not refund once the writing has started. If generation fails, it can be run again at no extra charge, and if we still cannot deliver the book, we refund it.
- When the beta ends, do I lose the book I made?
- No. A book written during the beta stays in your account and stays readable. What changes when the beta ends is what the next book costs.
- Can I make a book for someone else?
- Yes. You can write one from any birth data saved in your account, and there is a gift flow that sends a claim link. Claiming a gift needs a free account, and the link is valid for one year from the day it is issued.
- What happens to the birth details I enter?
- To write the book, the name, date, time and place of birth are sent to the API of Anthropic, PBC (USA), which provides the AI. Under their commercial terms, data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
