Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be charged automatically when the beta ends?
No. Nothing moves you onto a paid plan when the beta ends. Unless you subscribe yourself, you stay on the free Hoshiyomi plan.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. Signing up takes a name, an email address, a password, and your agreement to the terms. You only enter card details when you subscribe to a paid plan or buy a report.
Can I keep using the free plan indefinitely?
Yes. The natal, triple-wheel and synastry charts and the reading guide stay free. The free plan saves up to 5 birth data entries.
How much does annual billing save?
Annual billing costs ten months of the monthly price: Hoshigatari is ¥550 monthly or ¥5,500 annually, Hoshimichibiki ¥1,650 monthly or ¥16,500 annually. Over a full year that is two months free.
Does a plan include the reports?
No. Reports are bought one book at a time and are billed separately from plans. What a plan changes is the range of chart features in the app — advanced charts, astromap, compatibility scores and so on.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX). Card numbers go straight to the payment processor and are never stored on Hoshidou's servers.
Can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from the subscription management page. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for cancelling mid-period.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your data is never deleted. Access to data beyond the plan limit is locked, but everything becomes available again when you re-subscribe.
Are prices tax-inclusive?
Yes, all displayed prices include tax.
