Compatibility Score
How to read the compatibility score, understand the six category breakdowns, and how scores are calculated.
The Compatibility Score quantifies the astrological compatibility between two people based on their natal charts. It presents an overall percentage alongside six category-specific scores, letting you explore the relationship from multiple angles.

Overall Score
At the top of the screen, an overall score is displayed as a percentage (e.g., 78%) with an activity indicator beside it. The indicator gives you an at-a-glance sense of how strong the compatibility is.
The overall score is derived from the six category scores below. It serves as a quick summary of the total compatibility picture.
Category Scores
The compatibility score is broken down into six categories, each based on aspects formed by a specific planet between the two charts.
Personality
Based on Sun aspects. This category reflects the compatibility of core identities and self-expression. Because the Sun represents the fundamental sense of self, the Personality score shows how naturally two people's characters harmonize.
Emotional
Based on Moon aspects. This category measures emotional resonance and the sense of comfort between two people. The Moon governs inner emotional patterns, so this score reveals the depth of day-to-day emotional connection.
Communication
Based on Mercury aspects. This category evaluates how well two people exchange ideas and understand each other's thought processes. Mercury rules communication and intellect, making this score a good indicator of conversational flow.
Romantic
Based on Venus aspects. This category captures romantic attraction and the compatibility of love languages. Venus symbolizes love and beauty, so the Romantic score speaks to harmony in affection and aesthetic sensibilities.
Physical
Based on Mars aspects. This category assesses the compatibility of energy levels and drive. Mars governs passion and vitality, so this score reflects how two people's dynamism interplays when they take action together.
Stability
Based on Saturn aspects. This category gauges the long-term durability and structural soundness of the relationship. Saturn represents responsibility and commitment, so a high Stability score suggests a solid foundation for the partnership.
Aspect Detail List
Beneath each category, a list of the individual aspects contributing to that score is displayed. Each entry shows the specific aspect (e.g., Sun trine Moon) along with its orb value — the deviation from the exact angular relationship.
Reviewing the detail list helps you pinpoint exactly which aspects are boosting or lowering a category score, giving you concrete insight into the strengths and challenges of the relationship.
How Scores Are Calculated
Compatibility scores are computed from the number and quality of aspects formed between the two natal charts.
- Harmonious aspects (trine, sextile) increase the score
- Challenging aspects (square, opposition) decrease the score
- Tighter orbs (closer to exact) carry more weight than wider ones
Each planet's aspects feed into its corresponding category score, and the six category scores are then combined to produce the overall percentage.
