How to subscribe to a plan, manage or cancel your subscription, and purchase extra report credits.

Hoshidou uses Stripe for secure payments. You can manage your subscription and purchase additional credits entirely within the app.

The paid plans - Hoshiyomi, Hoshigatari, and Hoshimichibiki - offer an annual billing option. Choosing annual billing saves approximately 17% compared to paying monthly. This is the best option if you plan to use HOSHIDOU long-term. You can switch to annual billing from Settings - Plan tab.

Subscribing to a Plan

Tap the account icon in the top-right corner of the app, then open Settings
Go to the Plan tab
Tap Subscribe on the plan you want
Enter your payment details on the Stripe checkout page

Your new plan features are available immediately after subscribing.

Managing or Canceling Your Subscription

Subscription changes and cancellations are handled through the Stripe customer portal.

In the app, go to Settings - Plan tab
Tap Manage Subscription (opens the Stripe portal)
Change or cancel your plan from within the portal

After canceling, you keep access to your current plan's features until the end of the billing period.

Downgrading does not delete your data. Entries beyond the plan limit are locked, but become accessible again if you re-subscribe.

Extra Report Credits

If you've used up your monthly report quota, you can purchase additional credits to keep generating reports.

These are standalone credit prices, separate from the lower per-report rates included with Hoshigatari (1,000 yen/report) and Hoshimichibiki (500 yen/report) subscriptions. If you use reports frequently, a subscription is better value.

How to Purchase Extra Credits

In the app, go to Settings - Plan tab
Tap Buy Extra Credits
Select the bundle size and complete the payment

Purchased credits do not expire.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change plans anytime? Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately.

What payment methods are accepted? Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX) via Stripe.

Are prices tax-inclusive? Yes, all displayed prices include tax.
