Call your Hoshidou chart from Claude or ChatGPT
Connect Hoshidou to Claude or ChatGPT and your chart can become part of an ongoing conversation, with transits and notes available when you need them.

In an earlier article, I wrote about reading a Hoshidou chart with Claude or ChatGPT. Connecting an account lets the AI work with an accurate natal chart while you talk. That was the doorway. This article is about leaving the door open and using the connection over time.
Keep the connection available
The connection uses MCP, or Model Context Protocol, a shared way for AI tools to access external data and tools. Once it is configured, you can call your chart from an ordinary Claude or ChatGPT conversation.
An accurate natal chart is only the beginning. The connection can also bring in today’s transits, the month’s planetary movements, or the week’s void-of-course Moon periods. Instead of calculating and copying each position by hand, you can ask for the sky now and place it over your own chart.
Use it in daily conversations
For example, you might ask:
- “Overlay today’s transits on my natal chart and show me the strongest contacts.”
- “List this month’s planetary movements and tell me which areas of my chart they touch.”
- “When is the Moon void of course this week? I want to leave some room in my schedule.”
The positions come from Hoshidou’s calculations, so the conversation begins with your actual chart rather than a generic Sun-sign description.
The direction of the question still matters. Asking what will happen produces a different kind of answer from asking what you can notice in yourself. During Mercury retrograde, for instance, try asking which communication habits may become easier to observe. AI can produce forecasts or prompts for reflection; the question helps decide which one you receive.
Save what you learn
You can also ask the AI to write a reading back to your notes in Hoshidou:
- “Save this interpretation of my Sun-Saturn aspect.”
- “Add a note that we first met last summer to this person’s record.”
In a later conversation, the AI can read those notes before responding. You no longer need to explain from the beginning what felt true last month or what you wanted to watch. Notes written by AI are marked so they remain distinct from your own writing.
What accumulates is your observation, not a fixed explanation of the chart. The difference between how you experienced Saturn three months ago and how you meet it now may teach more than either reading alone.
Keep your own judgment in the loop
There is no single correct reading of a chart. An AI response is one interpretation, and it cannot guarantee an outcome. Compare it with lived experience and keep what helps you see more clearly.
Smarter tools can reduce the effort of calculation and record-keeping. The work of knowing yourself still belongs to you.
Try connecting
MCP access belongs to the 星導き (Hoshimichibiki) plan. Hoshidou is in beta, though, and every plan is free until the beta ends, so for now you can connect on any plan. The next time a transit catches your attention, notice which placement drew you and which reading you decided to keep. Kept up over a few months, that record starts to work as a map of your own.
